However, Hiking has plenty of useful benefits for men everywhere, even if you don't want to become a fully fledged ‘Hiker.'
In today’s modern world, it is more difficult than ever to find a moment to take for yourself. There is always some distraction or commitment begging for your attention. The only way to actually get some time for yourself is to, quite literally, walk away from it all.
Let's take a look at a few reasons why Hiking is not only fun but also incredibly beneficial for men everywhere.

Reason #1: Hiking = Exercise
I know; you try to stay fit. But it’s hard, right? What with working, trying to meet someone and just generally living your life, it is difficult to actually stay fit without having to go to the gym 18 times a week.
Hiking is a great way to sneak exercise into your life, as it is quite literally just walking. You know how you can set elevation settings on modern treadmills, so as to make the run harder? Hiking has that feature built in!
Long, winding roads and a variety of different elevations make Hiking a natural and easy way to keep fit. Without fitness in your life, your physical health is going to suffer.
It doesn’t just stop with physical health, however; when you start to improve your physical health, your mental health will improve as well.
Reason #2: Mental Health
Though it has historically been a very difficult thing to comprehend, men can suffer from just as many mental issues as women, and there is nothing wrong with that.
For most men, they feel the need to bury any mental issues they are having deep beneath the surface, often forcing them to stay unhappy and avoid dealing with their problems.
Hiking is a fantastic way to combat this – with the rush and pressure of the modern world, it is easier than ever to feel lonely and disconnected from those around you.
Taking a break and exploring the natural world by going on a Hike is the perfect way to work through any issues you might be having. If you don’t all live near some empty forests like me, you can always take a train or head to your local beach and find some nature that way.
Though it starts as an improvement to your physical health, by getting out there and seeing nature, you are allowing yourself time to think and process your emotions.
It might sound strange to the uninitiated, but Hiking is one of the best ways to clear your mind and center yourself, allowing you to be the best version of yourself that you can be.
What’s more, you don’t have to Hike on your own! You could go with a group of friends, or even make friends by finding a Hiking group to tag along with. Though time alone in nature is incredibly important, by Hiking with friends you get to share in the majesty of nature and bond together.
Not only is private thinking time valuable, but so is time spent among friends.
Finally, Hiking isn't just crucial for how you view yourself; it is also important to those around you.
Reason #3: Hiking & Women
Though everything an iconic man does should be focused on improving himself and making himself happy, it has to be acknowledged that women love a man who Hikes.
Though it might seem like just a simple hobby, Hiking represents a few important things to a woman: firstly, that they regularly pursue personal fitness, which as everyone knows is attractive in its own right; secondly, it means that they are mentally aware.
Most guides and advice online recommends all men to have a hobby, but fail to explain why having a hobby is so essential, especially to the opposite sex.
To have a hobby not only means that you have something that you are passionate about (which in itself is incredibly sexy) but that you understand the importance of having something for yourself.
Contrary to popular belief, women don’t want a man who doesn’t know how to be with himself. By Hiking, you not only get to know yourself, but you demonstrate to any woman that you understand the importance of individual interests and of your own mental well-being
It might seem strange at first but, to women, Hiking is incredibly sexy.
So Why Should You Go Hiking?
Hiking in and of itself is nothing more than taking a very long walk somewhere in nature. It could be a forest trail, walking up the side of a mountain or exploring the depths of a canyon; it really doesn’t matter.
What is essential about Hiking is taking the time for yourself to experience something new, something natural and something real. You get the chance to improve your fitness level, while at the same time being able to improve your mental health.
Hiking also shows that you are physically active and care about yourself; to women, it also means that you take care of yourself both physically and mentally.
However, if you have to pick just one reason to Hike, it should be for yourself.
Hiking is good for your body, good for your mind and even good for how you look, but the very best part of it is that you can become liberated.
It might sound corny, but nothing compares to the sensation of stepping out into the world and seeing something you have never seen before — the sound of animals and plants coexisting with one another and not another soul around you for miles.
Even if your physical health is perfect and your mental health is stable, go out into the wilderness and explore somewhere.
Don’t do it because I told you to and don’t do it to seem attractive to women – do it for you.
