We aim to help young aspiring writers and multimedia journalists receive the best education,
which will ensure them a brighter future and help fight fake news world-wide
We want to help students from all over the world, who want to study in one of the following fields or in a related field: Journalism, Writing (all majors are accepted), English Literature, Multimedia Journalism, Media Communications, Digital Storytelling, Digital Communications and Digital Media. We are happy to announce that IconicMan will be granting 10 scholarships to cover the tuition fees of the selected students, for the academic year 2019-2020.

You will need to log on to iconicman.com read through a couple of articles to understand our aesthetic and style. Then pick one of our categories that you feel confident writing about, choose a subcategory and write an original article about whatever you want, suitable for the subcategory. The article shouldn't be similar to the ones previously written or translated/copied from any source.
All suitable articles will be published on our website along with the authors name, picture and short bio. You will be notified about the publishing date via email. Even if you don't win the scholarship, you will benefit from the exposure on our site and you will be able to list it on your portfolio. Although you won't receive any financial compensation for the publishing of your article, the authors we really like will be offered a permanent paid position at the site.

Application Requirements:
⇒ Plagiarism will not be tolerated, you have to do intelligent intensive research about your topic, if you are using a source you have to quote it.
⇒ The length should be between 500-1000 words.

⇒ You should write in English with correct grammar and punctuation. Nevertheless, you are allowed to use slang.
⇒ The content needs to be specific, direct (use first person), expressing personal opinion, originality and were appropriate, humour.
⇒ All articles should have a short, engaging introduction that clearly outlines what the article is about and a short conclusion that summarizes and wraps up the post nicely.
⇒ All articles must be accompanied by multimedia: pictures and video. We want you to create your own multimedia when possible. If you can't create your own original multimedia content, you can't steal other people's content.

⇒ Come up with an engaging title that people will feel like clicking on. Google it to check out whether someone else has already used the same title. If yes change it.
⇒ Be pragmatic about what people in the English-speaking world would be interested to read about.
⇒ The article should be easy to read and interesting. Your aim that people will scroll till the end.

⇒ The winners' articles will be featured on our website and social media. We will post them with your name, picture and short bio that you will need provide us. The winners will not receive any financial compensation for posting their articles on iconicman.com, other than us covering their tuition fees for the academic year 2019-2020 directly to their chosen institution.
