Oculus Quest
Following the success of Oculus Go, the company will be launching their newest addition Oculus Quest in spring 2019. It’s their new improved version of the previous Oculus which doesn’t allow any light to pass through the headset. Nothing will restrict the experience such as walls or wire.
It will offer complete freedom of movement and more than 50 games, apps, movies and experiences, which will be updated as time goes by. Unlike its predecessor, Oculus Quest will have 6 degrees of freedom tracking that allows the player to walk anywhere without the restriction of holding the wire but at the same time it will allow movements such as jumping, crouching etc. Don’t worry though it won’t allow you to drift too far from your safe space, for instance walk in a street. The built-in chaperone system is there to protect you.

The headset is created from a soft material and the straps that go around your head are stretchy in order to avoid the plastic marks. Although, Oculus Quest shares a lot of common features with Oculus Go, it’s relatively affordable considering that is a standalone VR set and substantially improved from the previous version.
It will be lightweight, freeing and will track up to 4000 square feet which can cover your entire house, even your backyard which will allow you a larger playing area. In comparison to other VR sets it’s not super expensive and it is effective.

Everyone who got to experience the 80s-90s, reminisce those times. One of the first thing that pops into my head when I think of that time period, is arcade games. Which little boy or girl didn’t spend ages and all their pocket money on arcade games? Those hours trying to finish all the levels on Pacman defined our childhood. Now they can define our adulthood.

LG Signature OLED TV R9
This TV comes straight from the future. It rolls upwards and it allows you to use your space better. Imagine sitting on your couch, a girl asks you whether you own a TV and with a voice command a beautiful screen starts rolling upwards. Impressive ha?
It can stretch up to 65 inches then roll in a compact box. They advertise it as the most intelligent TV ever that comes with built-in Alexa and Google Assistance. The screen can be split into 6 and you can choose at which height you would like your TV to rise up to. The design is modernist and screen is impeccable. The fact that the speakers are placed in front of the TV classifies it for me as a whole home cinema. The price tag is yet to be confirmed (as is the release date) but as it has been presented at the CES expo, we expect them to hit the market soon. Start saving up cause online speculations place the price tag around $10,000.

Nreal Light Mixed Reality Glasses
Ok the future is officially here! The Nreal Glasses disguise themselves as regular sunglasses and weigh about the same. You can be strolling outside, running everyday errands whilst at the same time watching movies through your mixed reality glasses. From the one lense you will be able to see reality, captured by Vive Pro’s cameras, smartly hidden at the front of the glasses. From the other you can watch Batman fight, which makes this gadget super intriguing. Artificial elements can pop up in both lenses which will make your walk out in the park, an adventure.
Fitting is easy thanks to the adjustable magnetic nose support and Nreal offers magnetic prescription lenses, for all of us who have a poor eyesight. It comes with an Environmental Understanding which includes: SLAM (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping), 6DoF tracking, Plane detection and Object recognition. The company works hard adding more features and you will have to wait a couple of months to get a set of these babies in your hands. It will retail around $1000 but the technology is more portable than ever, so if you’re into virtual reality start saving up.
