ASOS: The best fashion app?
The stereotype is that men don’t like shopping. Could it be that men simply hate going to actual shops?
Men don’t hate shopping. They hate the hassle of having to get up, get dressed, get their selves to a store, wander around till an annoying sales assistant glues on to them like a leech. If there was a store called: This is the shirt for you come and get it, I bet it would make millions annually. But there isn’t and men have to suffer what they consider to be their private hell: Shopping.
But things have changed nowadays. Fashion apps keep popping up, they take less space than ever on our phones and have cool features to assist any indecisive human with what shirt to buy. And ASOS should be accredited by many since they were the first to revolutionize the way we all shop.
What is ASOS?
ASOS is a UK based online store that delivers around the world. ASOS acronym actual means ‘As Seen On Screen’ and the idea behind it was that they would copy trending styles worn by celebrities. Nick Robertson and Quentin Griffiths were two simple British men who could never imagine that their brand would grow out into a global phenomenon. ASOS caters for both male and female audience and they have unisex items as well. From accessories to shoes to underwear to literally everything a man needs in his closet. It is your one-stop online shop that saves you the awkward sale person contact or having to go to several stores.

Why ASOS?
First of all, because of their free return system. You can order as many items as you like, try them on and if you hate all of them send them back for free and get a refund. No queuing endlessly to get your money back or having to exchange for something else because the shop has a no refund policy. Second of all, you can browse from the comfort of your own home and get them delivered there for free. Third, they have a sale tab all year long and you can get your hand on brands you wouldn’t normally be able to afford. Lastly, some brands list certain items exclusively on ASOS. Also, I have stumbled across the same pieces of clothing in other apps but ASOS was always the cheapest.
Why use their App?
Their app in my humble opinion is the best fashion shopping app ever. It takes very little space on your phone, it’s free to download and you can load thousands of results very quickly. The app has awesome filters that help you narrow down your options depending on the price range, color, product type, size even activity. It also allows you to sort how you want to see your search results (What’s New, Price: High to Low, Price: Low to High). Their app is an excellent replica of their awesome site but why you should download it is the fact that it actually loads faster than the website. Depending on the stuff you check out either online or on the app, they will recommend similar items that you might like.

What are the special features?
Their newest feature is the Style match where you can either upload a photo of an outfit or screenshot something and the algorithm works its magic to find similar items within the site. Obviously, you will occasionally get random items especially if the picture you upload isn't clear and it's not sure which item you're searching for. But you can always filter it down. The downside is that it’s not the quickest technology (apps like Aliexpress that will upload it and find results in seconds) and occasionally women’s items will pop up as well.
I also like the Inspiration tab where you can find Fashion tips, daily style inspiration and grooming advice.
What I love about ASOS?
I love their variety; every person can find something that suits them no matter their taste and size. They offer plus size and tall options. They have clothes, shoes and accessories for literally all occasions. Another thing I love about ASOS is their permanent Sale Tab, where you can find items up to 70% less.
For each item, you can see a video and photos from all angles, and you can zoom in as much as you want to check it out. Delivery is free over $45 and their exchange system super-fast and easy to use.

You don’t have to go to one site for your trainers and to another for your bow ties, ASOS has E V E R Y T H I N G a man could ask for.
Tip: I particularly love their own line which is very affordable. You should check it out.

A funky person who likes change. Loves travelling, photography, eating and binge-watching shows. Favorite pastime is eating and of course uploading pictures of fancy food on Instagram. Sings out loud when she is writing and loves reading crime novels.
