An Affordable Holiday Budget for Everyone: Agra
Are you looking for a holiday budget which anyone can afford? Then discover our best expert tips to travel on an affordable budget.
“Travel is never a matter of money, but of courage”
To explore exotic places, you have no need of winning the lottery. People always consider a Holiday as a costly matter. But an iconic man can easily turn a costly vacation into affordable one with his innovative thinking, planning, and wise decision-making ability. To make you more iconic, I am sharing here an affordable holiday budget for everyone in Agra and my guideline for visiting this city on a budget.
Making a cheap holiday budget is not rocket science. You just need to be creative and do everything within your budget. Do online research before going to an unknown place. Which transportation and living style will be cheapest, you can find out from Google. There are so many online sites to book your hotel room and transport. Compare the price of different booking sites and choose the affordable one.

According to your budget, choose the airplane, train, bus or car to reach your destination. To get an airplane ticket at a reasonable price, do your round trip ticket booking at least 15 days before your journey date. Don’t buy a one-way ticket; it will be costly for you. If you want to travel by caravan or hired car or bus or train, don’t forget to book them earlier to save money.
So, I followed these rules and selected Agra to visit on an affordable budget. It is a best place for the tourists to see the UNESCO designated world heritages sites (Taj Mahal and Agra Fort). For being SAARC citizens, we (that is two people) could finish our Agra tour under $110.
Can you believe it? Only $110!!!
Yes, it can be possible if you know how to deal with everything. I believe anyone will be able to bear this cost without breaking their bank accounts. Check out this chart of our all the expenses when we visited Agra for 2 days.

You should arrive in Agra one day before you plan to visit the Taj Mahal. The early morning view of the Taj Mahal is the best. If you get there later in the day, you will miss its hypnotizing view and you will have to face the long queue to buy your entry tickets.
So, when you will arrive in Agra, your driver will come to meet you and he will take you to the hotel to check-in in the afternoon. Do any shopping and buy souvenirs on this day.
Next day, early morning, leave your hotel with all your luggage. It is better to check out the hotel in the morning because you will be out for the whole day and in the evening, you will leave Agra for your home. If you don’t check out in the morning, you will have to pay for another day, and it is totally unnecessary.

About 6 am your driver and guide will meet you at your hotel and take you to the Taj Mahal. If you have not purchased your entry tickets already, do it from the counter and enter into the Taj Mahal. After visiting it for 2.5 hours with the guide, you should leave to have your lunch.
You will see so many restaurants on every road. Tell your driver about your taste and budget, and he will take you to the best place. You must try the mouth-watering traditional Mughal’s dishes. After making your tummy happy, go straight to the Agra Fort.
You can buy entry tickets online to avoid the disgustingly long queue. Otherwise, you will have to fight to buy your entry tickets. To buy manually, use your guide’s help to find out the procedure of buying tickets. If you show your Taj Mahal’s entry tickets at the counter, you will get a 50% discount.
So, after finally purchasing your tickets, enter into the Agra Fort and start learning about the Mughal Empire from your guide. Always listen to them carefully, because you will get much unique information which is not available in any text or any online source. It will take about to 2 hours to finish most of the tour of the Agra Fort.

You can finish visiting, shopping and eating by 5 pm. So, you can easily start your journey to home at 6 pm, by the transport you prefer.
If you visit Agra in this way, it will cost you no more than $110. I believe this is a budget which everybody can easily afford. Follow these guidelines to break all the barriers, allowing you to be more independent and to make every trip possible. An iconic man should have these qualities to rule the world.
