Avengers Endgame: Does It Live Up To Its Hype?

The Endgame is brutal, exciting, emotional and hilarious. It's a perfect balance between all of these elements

After all the hype that was going on about the finale of the beloved Avengers movies, we’ve finally got a chance to see a screening for it. And if you’re looking for an answer to whether or not it’s worth the ticket, let me tell you that it’s absolutely worth your time and money. Here’s why:

Not Your Typical Plot:

The story of the movie is different this time, it’s far from being a straight forward narrative. It will mess with you, it will take you places and you will never be able to guess where it’s heading next. With an extra dose of Sci-fi in this installment, the film plays with it smartly and at the same time doesn’t confuse its audience. I think the movie knew exactly what it was doing and where they were heading to make one hell of an enjoyable ride by the end.

Filled with Top Moments:

Endgame’s screenplay is injected with the most important moments in the MC universe that fans can’t simply miss. At the theater where I was watching the film (the hall was full), the crowd literally clapped their hands at least 15 times during this film, I can’t tell you why but I can guarantee to you that you’ll be having a wide smile with an adrenaline rush.

If you’re expecting to see kick-ass moments where every character stands out and does something extraordinary that deserves a loud applause, you’ll be more than satisfied. Let me also warn you that once the movie raises the stakes, you won’t be able to move in your chair until the movie is over.

It’s a Tearjerker:

Seriously, if this isn’t the most emotional superheroes film not just in Marvel’s universe but in all universes, I don’t know what is. Even though everyone predicted it, I never thought it would be this real, I thought it was just part of the marketing or the hype of the movie, turns out I was wrong. Apart from the strong emotional acts in the beginning and middle of the movie, it’s the ending that got me along with everyone else in the theater. Maybe during the whole film, the crowd were really agitated and whispering because of their excitement but in the final moments, I could barely hear them breathing, everyone just sat in silence, some were crying and the others were staring at the screen.

It’s Hilarious:

The comedy in this movie works really well. Almost all of the jokes were in the right moments without an interruption in an important scene, some of them are addressed to the hardcore fans but others are easy to get and just adds more fun to the experience. In many cases, the comedy can decrease the value of a movie like this, especially if it’s an epic 3 hours long film. But luckily, it fitted the tone of the film and it kept audience from getting bored.

Stan Lee is Honored:

The film as a whole feel like the perfect tribute to Stan Lee, it keeps you thinking about how this man was truly a legend, how he made a full parallel universe to help people release their minds in his imaginations and escape their reality for a few moments when they are watching. He gave us a sense of hope in our world and that no matter how evil is trying to invade Earth, we can stop it with our hope together. Stan Lee was a genius and so were his films, and I’m certain if he was alive to see this film, he would’ve been proud, really proud.

“We all wish we had super powers. We all wish we could do more than we can do.”
                                                                                                                                          Stan Lee

In short, Avengers Endgame is a fantastic watch, it lived up to all the expectations and I can’t wait to see it all over again. I wish I could talk more about this movie but I promised not to spoil it. All I can say now, go watch it as soon as you can, It’s easily my favorite time at the movies this year.
