Smartphone Cases You Must Have
Smartphone case is nothing more than a boring piece of plastic on your phone, right? Absolutely not! It is integral to how you use your phone. Here are the absolutely best, most Iconic cases you can find.
A Smartphone case is more than just a way to add a splash of color to my phone and hopefully protect it at the same time. I tend to be drawn to cases that come with extra features, cases that are iconic and that enhance the way that I use my phone, while still ensuring that my phone is protected from knocks and drops.
I am slightly embarrassed to admit that I own a lot of phone cases; I could probably sell all of my extra cases and afford a whole new mid-range Smartphone with the money. There are benefits to my collection though, as it means that I have a case for almost every situation and I have learnt a lot over the years as to what makes a great Smartphone case. I am going to share with you my favorite cases so that your phone is ready for any challenge.
Here are my top 8 smartphone cases that will change the way you use your phone:
Incipio – Stashback 2.0
check it out!
This is one of my all-time favorite cases, because it turns your phone into a wallet without having the annoying cover over your screen that comes with most wallet cases. There is a compartment in the back of the phone that slides open and has room for three cards to be stored. I’ve experimented with these cases over the years and found that you can store almost anything in them, including subway tickets and cash. Despite having room for three cards, the case adds very little extra bulk to your phone, meaning that it still slides into your pocket seamlessly.
The Stashback case is available for most iPhone models but unfortunately not for Android phones. Incipio do also sell a Stowaway case which offers the same functionality but with the opening for cards being in a slightly different place, which is available for some Samsung phones.
Otter Box – Otter + Pop Symmetry Series

The Otter Box Pop Series combines a protective case with an integrated pop socket. I find this case useful when I’m planning on spending the day at my desk or know that I’m going to be holding my phone a lot more than usual throughout the day. As somebody who is always dropping my phone, having a case that actually protects my phone is important but I’ve found that a lot of pop sockets struggle to stick for longer than a few hours. Having a pop socket integrated into the case solves my problems and also makes me less likely to drop my phone in the first place.
Unfortunately, Otter Box only offers their Pop Series for the latest iPhone models, so if you own an Android or an iPhone older than the 7 you’re out of luck.
Olixar Titan Clip Armour Protective

My iPhone camera is fantastic and I am often still shocked when I view my photos on a larger screen, struggling to believe that I actually took them with my phone. That being said, a phone camera can feel limiting at times for professional photographers who are used to carrying around a variety of lenses. The Olixar Titan case solves this problem, allowing you to screw on a variety of different lenses, transforming your phone into a piece of professional equipment.
I use this case most when I am heading out for the day and know that there will be fantastic photo opportunities but don’t want to be carrying around my heavy camera bag. This is my go-to case for hiking, I can still take iconic photos but all I need is my phone.
This case is only available for the iPhone XS and XS Max, although there are similar cases on the market for most popular Smartphones.
Lifeproof – FRE

Lifeproof cases are designed to protect your phone from anything that you could possibly throw at it. The FRE case is the toughest in the series, claiming to protect your phone from drops of 2 meters, being submerged in water for up to an hour and shielding ports and speakers. This is not the best looking of cases and definitely on the blocky side, so this is not a case that I reach for on a daily basis, but still one that I like to have in my collection for those times when I know I am going to really be putting my phone through its paces.
Mophie – Juice Pack Access

The Juice Pack is my number one case for long journeys or days when you know you’re not going to have access to power. The case wirelessly charges your phone throughout the day, meaning that you still have access to the lightning port and peace of mind that your phone is not going to die. It is quite a chunky case but this balances out because it means not having to carry a portable charger with you.
Mophie also sells the Juice Pack Air, a lighter and slimmer version of the case with a smaller capacity battery.
Under Armour – Connect Armband Mount
check it out here!
Under Armour are my go-to brand for workout cases, with a number of different cases to suit your every need. The Armband Mount is probably my favorite because it is the most versatile, allowing me to run completely hands-free, while still listening to music. The strap that attaches to your arm does not feel restrictive and allows your skin to breath, unlike a number of other band cases that I have tried in the past.
Under Armour – Protect Handle It Case
check it out here!
Another Under Armour workout case that I use is the Handle Case. I tend to use this case when I am at the gym because it allows me to hold my phone and track my workout, while not having to worry about dropping it or constantly having to remove it from my armband. Even if I do accidentally drop my phone, this is an extremely well-built case, which has protected my phone on a number of occasions. The straps to hold your phone are made of super strong elastic, so they fit your hand comfortably and do not limit movement.
Tell us in the comments the smartphone cases that you love at the moment and share your treasure trove of different cases!
